On the Pod

An interview recently published on futurepod.org

Peter Hayward has been running FuturePod, a podcast around the futuring and foresight community, for over 150 episodes so far. The podcast has become one of our ways to explore and discover new (for us) ways of thinking about and applying futures thinking over the past four or more years. When we contacted him for a response to our two questions, as part of the book Futures Brought to Life, we had a delightful conversations that wend its way from Momento Mori and the Stoics to youth crime and perhaps even a bit of rock and roll. As with all good conversations that should become pblic, we had to do a fait bit of pruning and “editing for clarity” to create his contribution to the book. We were and are delighted to have him included.

So when he invited us to be on FuturePod, we were equally delighted to say yes. The conversation was long and winding, but luckily we did not have to chop it down much (it is a podcast, not a short response to two questions) and he did the chopping this time.

Please find the results here.

We look forward to discussions with others that emerge from our discussions with him. We hope that we can live up to his words that the book is “a very generous contribution to our community” and look forward to our continued small place in that community.
