Give laziness a chance!

…together with Prof. Dr. Karmen Franinovic, designer Rasa Weber and futurist Eva Maria Spreitzer, we will be inviting the MA students of Interaction Design of ZHdK for a whole week in April to imagine future scenarios for lowering the work ethic in a future SLOWCIETY and to translate them into schematic prototypes.

In preparation for the workshop (which will start on April, 11th), we gave an introductory talk – which may or may not have enticed the students to rethink their own pace in everyday life.

We have also invited the students to stroll through the city of Zurich – with a slightly different perspective.

This Futuring Exercise is part of Curiouser and Curiouser, cried Alice: Rebuilding Janus from Cassandra and Pollyanna (CCA), an art-based research project of Design Investigations (ID2) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and Time’s Up, supported by the Programme for Arts-based Research (PEEK) on the part of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF): AR561. All Time’s Up activities are also kindly supported by Bundesministerium Kunst, Kultur, öffentlicher Dienst und Sport BMKOESLinz KulturLand OÖ & Linz AG.
