While we are still in the middle of processing the previous Futuring Exercises with Changeist and Extrapolation Factory and getting ready to welcome FoAM to run a third workshop, circulating around possible futures of food, we’ve met at Studio Solipsis to kick off the preparations needed to be done for Futures Harvest.
Futures Harvest will be the finalising activity for Presents of the Future within the cultural programme of the 2017 Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The exhibition, set up at Studio Solipsis in Rabat will showcase methods, steps, processes, workshops and products of all activities being held in the course of the project.
Furthermore it will concentrate on developments growing out of the scenarios sketched and prototyped during the Futuring excercises – elaborated by Maltese artists and designers.
We are very much looking forward to work with Giola Cassar, Glen Calleja, Johannes Buch and Georges David Attard – and any additional people who will get involved over time.
“PRESENTS OF THE FUTURE” is a project embracing a series of activities in Malta and Gozo, which build upon one another to think out load about possible futures of Europe investigating the unique perspectives of Malta.
Presents of the Future is part of the cultural program of the 2017 Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union with the support of Arts Council Malta, and the Valletta 2018 Foundation.
